How to create a task/milestones in the Gantt

When you create a new task in Trello, it will appear in the Gantt chart at the end of the list. 

You can create tasks in the Gantt chart using the “+” button.

When you click on the triangle, an additional menu will be available through which you can create a new task and a new milestone.

You can also use the following hotkeys: 

• Cmd/Ctrl+Enter - Create a new task under the selected task line;
• Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Enter - Create a new milestone under the selected line.

Also, these hotkeys work while editing the task name.

The new task created via the Gantt chart will be placed at the end of the column that is selected in the Kanban table settings in the corresponding project settings.

To change the name of the task right on the Gantt chart, click on the “Pencil” icon at the end of the task name line.

Clicking on the “Trash” icon:

• Milestone - will be removed;
• Task/card - will be archived in Trello.
